i dream of a land

July 20, 2009

I dream of a land with religion humanity,
Life standing on pillars—peace, equality,
Every soul drenched in sense of liberty,
Calls, bells resounding God’s supremacy

I dream of a land, nymphs are the pride,
Every being, an emblem of glee,
Hearts filled with God, God dwelling in hearts,
Where nightingales sing, cuckoos lark,

I dream of a land with meadows green,
With silver sands, unfathomable seas,
Sparrows chirping in the dawn serene,
Beacons smiling at the morning breeze,

I dream of a land with seasons four,
Villages beaming in the harvest’s gold,
Sublime aims beaming in the night’s fall,
Rivers clad in moonlight’s pall,

I dream of a land with religion humanity,
Selfless service, divine tranquility,
Each path leading to a distinguished destiny,
Calls, bells, resounding God’s supremacy

not yours, not mine

July 15, 2009

The moon bleeds in the gory sky,
There is no ray of sunshine,
The stars melt, the candle fades.
No shadows to see, not yours, not mine

A ghost from past haunts me,
No image it has, no mark it leaves.
No words said, emptiness rests.
No voice heard, not yours, not mine

A shadow to light demises before me,
No pain it has, no agony it feels.
Death, romance dance together.
No touch felt, not yours, not mine

A poem I write, no words I have
No feelings I have, no aims sublime.
The intensity in gore is all I have.
No one’s possession, not yours not mine.

We walk on the path destined.
The strata of revelations and confines.
A conundrum of past and future I solve,
No decision made, not yours, not mine
